I am the Democratic nominee for East Amwell Township Committee .
I am an attorney and have my own law practice, The Law Offices of Jenna Casper Bloom, which specializes in criminal defense and real estate. Previously, I was a public defender for over ten years in Trenton. Being an attorney has taught me how important it is to listen to what an individual is saying and zealously represent them in the hopes of obtaining a positive outcome. I plan to use these same skills to represent the residents of East Amwell.
My parents moved to East Amwell in 2000 when I started college. My family comes from a long line of rural Illinois farmers, with my family still owning active farm land. Because of my familial history, I understand the concerns of farmers.
My husband Jason and I moved here permanently in 2007. Our two daughters attend East Amwell school, having started in the preschool program. I currently am troop leader to both of their Girl Scout troops and I coached a Girls on the Run program in the fall of 2019, before COVID hit. Additionally, I am president of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and a fundraising chair for the Princeton Child Development Institute, a school for individuals with autism. Jason, a teacher, is vice president of the South County Soccer League and our family is a member of the Colonial Sportsman Club. These different leadership and community service roles have prepared me to take on a new role as Township Committee member.
As you may know, our Township Committee currently consists of five Republican members who are making decisions that impact all residents of East Amwell. There is not a single Democratic member on the Committee. I am looking forward to changing that.
