Do I Qualify for an Expungement in New Jersey?

September 29, 2019 by Jenna Casper Bloom, Esq

The laws in New Jersey recently changed allowing for more people to qualify for an expungement and to expunge their record sooner. If you have one felony on your record and no more than three disorderly person offenses, then you qualify to have your record expunged. If you have no felony convictions on your record, then you are able to expunge up to four disorderly persons offenses. Successful graduating from the Drug Court Program allows you to have ALL your convictions and arrests expunged. Participation in PTI (Pretrial Intervention) does not bar you from expunging your record. Lastly, there is NO LIMIT to the number of arrests you can expunge.
