On October 30, The Princeton Child Development Institute is hosting the fifth annual Meadow Miler event at Rosedale Park to benefit the school. I am proud to be a sponsor of that event as well as a participant.
The Princeton Child Development Institute is a non-profit organization for individuals with autism. My brother, Jared, has attended the school since he was three years old. He is currently 37 years old and lives at one of their two group homes. My family was originally from Illinois but moved to New Jersey so Jared could attend PCDI as there were no schools for individuals with autism in Illinois in 1987. Without PCDI, my brother would have been institutionalized. Because of PCDI, my brother has language skills, is employed at L’Oreal, and is a great uncle to his two nieces.
As many of you know, I love running and being able to combine that with supporting PCDI is something I am happy to do. There is a 10k, 5k, and fun run event so everyone can participate. There is even a virtual option! Please consider running the event or making a donation.
